First off, I admit I am not perfect. There. I said it. I am perfectly imperfect and expertly made to fit the mold specifically designed for me.
Life doesn’t always turn out the way you would expect it. There was a time when my life was driven by others or by my job. A few years ago, I decided to tell the driver of the car to get out, and I decided to take the wheel.
It wasn’t easy. I didn’t know where to start or what I was really aiming for. I just knew that there had to be more to life than work. More to life than the endless routines.
To track, and as a way of recording my progress, I decided to start a blog. At first, this was just a little side hobby. I hadn’t put much thought into making money or turning this into a full-time career.
However, it didn’t take long after I started down the path of self-discovery to realize that blogging was right for me. Blogging, homemaking, and self-development are just my thing!
So here I am, sharing with you all that I have learned, my wins, my losses, struggles, and conquests. Life has more to offer than what you may know.
Design Your Life
Make living an organized life a habit.
- Journal/plan daily
- Set monthly, weekly, & daily goals
- Find what works for you and stick to it.
Designing your life doesn’t need to be difficult. If you keep a planner, then you already have a good start. Planning your week and breaking down all the things you want to accomplish into small tasks will increase your productivity and shorten the distance separating you from your goals.
Choose a tool to schedule your tasks.
There are many different tools you can use to manage your time. I prefer to use a bullet journal. A bullet journal is flexible. You can put anything you want to in it. There is no limit to what you can use your bullet journal for.
Maintain A Daily Routine
- Plan for the week ahead
- Turn daily/weekly tasks into small manageable to do lists
- Take time for yourself
Create a daily routine and stick to it. It will be tough in the beginning, and there will be a time when you will want to throw in the towel. However if you persist you will reap the rewards of your efforts. I read somewhere that it takes three weeks for an action to become a habit.
Recently I published 30 Days To A Radiant Life. It is a 30-day planner filled with self-exploration activities and tips for living the life you desire. Working your way through this 30 day planner will help you to set your goals, find your purpose, and fulfill your desire for designed living. Click here to check it out.
“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”Albert Schweitzer
Gratitude Is A State Of Mind
Gratitude isn’t just a feeling. It is a state of being.
You can choose to wake up and say “thank you” first thing or you can curse out the alarm clock, snatch it from your dresser and throw it across the room. (A little extreme, I know, but hey, my youngest son is not a morning person).
I would rather wake up in a positive state of mind rather than a negative one. Wouldn’t you?
There are a lot of times, especially in the evening after a hard day at work, when I don’t feel grateful. I’m too tired to feel anything other than a hot shower and my comfy bed.
However, to keep my focus where it should be, I take a few moments to write down one thing in my bullet journal that I am grateful for.
If I can’t think of something (it must’ve been a really terrible day), then I revert back to the simple things in life.
Self Improvement Through Spiritual Growth
You were given a purpose in life. You may have yet realized what your purpose is, but you do have a purpose. There is a reason you were born in this time period rather than 100 years ago.
2 Peter 1: 3-8 says
“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Growing closer to God is one sure way to start your day off right. If you are spiritually dead, then how can you improve upon yourself as a person?
To grow is to learn. When you learn, you adapt. When you adapt, you change. This change is how you improve yourself and become the person you are meant to be.
Have you ever felt that your life wasn’t good enough? You don’t make enough money?…

“The world is gritty and the characters are living in survival mode, which brings out the best and worst in people. I loved it! I pictured this super dark city where Phoebe really stands out like a light, at home, and at work. Phoebe is an amazing person who takes care of her adopted father and stands up for her friends, even when she’s terrified…I really liked The Curse of Judas and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!!! I recommend it for anyone that enjoys a good vampire story (where the vamps don’t glitter).” –Jess
“In a world where vampires pretty much, rule our hero Phoebe is trying is just trying to get by. She becomes the focus of the local ruling vampires and so the story begins…The actual vampirism is handled in a unique way (spoiler). Some sensuality, some horror, some action, some suspense…Fans of vampire stories should find this entertaining. Enjoy!” –Mike
“The Curse of Judas quickly establishes excellent world building, genuine characters, and intrigue. While Persephone’s story will continue in future novellas, the ending didn’t leave me frustrated. If you are tired of the same old, same old vampire stories and are looking for something more creative, The Curse of Judas won’t leave you disappointed.” –Cats Luv Coffee
The price of survival is blood. The price of freedom is life. All things will eventually meet their end including humanity.
After generations of advancement, the human race thought they were invincible. That was until the revenant made their presence known. In order to survive, humans had to pay a price.
The cost……their blood. The source of life for all living things.
Persephone Black (Phoebe) was an orphan. She and her Pappy made a living on the outskirts of the revenant city where the poor and desolate were numerous. Phoebe had kept her head low and remained unnoticed for her entire life. She was content working as a junior gardner at the nursery as long as it meant her and Pappy’s continued survival within the city walls.
As fate would have it, Phoebe wouldn’t be able to go unnoticed for much longer. She caught the attention of Cassius, a revenant, and was summoned by him to the tower.
Her existence is both a blessing and a curse for the revenant. If the secret of her birth ever came to light, the world of the revenants would turn on end.
Phoebe would learn more about the revenant than most other humans. Cast into a world that she was not yet ready for, she would do anything to survive.
But she would soon learn that sometimes the cost of survival is more than a person could bear.
The Curse of Judas is a post-apocalyptic adventure interlaced with biblical prophecy and religious innuendo centered
around the sons of Judas Iscariot.
Note: There is a cliffhanger.
