Hi, I’m Cynthia Brandel, published author and founder of https://CynthiaBrandel.com! Over the last few years, I have been pouring my heart and soul into one thing: creating a lifestyle that allows me to spend more time focusing on the things I love (my family, traveling, writing the next bestseller, gardening, homesteading and the list goes on).
I worked for a major food service corporation for the last 15 years, and quite frankly, I was burnt out. I would work endless amounts of hours, sacrificing my family and friends, all for the sake of a job that I didn’t like.
After one very long day of pushing paper and putting out fires, I thought to myself, “There has to be more to life than this.”
If I don’t enjoy what I am doing, then what do I want to do with my life?
God gave us only one chance, one life, one opportunity to live. So, why was I wasting it spending my time doing something that I didn’t enjoy? I enjoy various hobbies throughout the year, depending on the season. Blogging about my experiences and encouraging others to enjoy their passions as I do has been the most fulfilling in my life.
Determined to combine both my passion for life and love of blogging, https://CynthiaBrandel.com was reborn with the intention of turning my passions into a full-time career that I would jump out of bed for every morning.
What I do today is the legacy I leave behind for my children.@CynthiaBrandel
However, blogging is a lot harder than it looks, and truthfully, I’m still trying to figure it out. Since I started down this path, I’ve had many difficulties. I’ve made over $1,000 in one month and less than $100 the next. I’ve had nights where I popped the cork on my favorite bottle of cabernet and nights when I wanted to pull my hair out. I’ve made many mistakes but learned so much along the way.
One of the most important tools I have used on this journey has been my bullet journal. Journaling not only keeps a record of all that I have accomplished but also helps to keep me organized and focused on what is most important.
Making a full-time income blogging is a challenging thing to accomplish. I want to be as realistic as possible. There is a multitude of bloggers talking about having a $100K product launch or making over $25,000 per month – and although that would be amazing, I’m guessing only 1% of bloggers achieve that amount of profit.
The truth is, I don’t need to make $25,000 per month or even 6-figures per year. I want to earn enough to pay my bills, work from home, travel, and spend more time with my friends and family.
Every day I’m learning new things and becoming more strategic. I’m figuring out what works and what doesn’t work. As I continue this journey, I want to share my experiences with you: the good, the bad, and the ugly. I firmly believe in passing on knowledge to others. We all start from zero and work our way up. If sharing my passion with you from my personal growth, blogging, gardening, cooking, and everything in between can help you achieve your dreams, then I feel satisfied and accomplished. If I can substitute my income doing something I love, then I know you can do it too!
