Story Line Overview:

Vhalla Yarl braves the wilds of the empire on her own. Leaving the safety of the tower, Vhalla flees from the castle and finds refuge in a small town. She turns to what she knows best, study and reading. Determined to learn all she can about the Knights of Jadar, Vhalla plunges head first into myth and legend.

But fate has a sick sense of humor. Vhalla is still bonded to her beloved, Aldrik. As much as she wishes she could free herself from her love, she knows Aldrik is the only one for her. Vhalla can’t stay hidden for long when Baldair orders his golden guard to find and protect her.

Cast back into the fray, Vhalla studies under Victor and learns more about crystals and the Knights of Jadar than she ever thought possible. But what Vhalla finds weighs heavy on her soul. Is she strong enough to destroy the caverns of legend? Will Aldrik hold her back or help her push forward?

My review:

The story just keeps getting better and better. Twists and turns keep the plot moving forward and leaves the reader asking what’s going to happen next. I totally wasn’t expecting the end or the loss of one of Vhalla’s comrades (No spoilers!)

Overall, I would give this novel 5 out of 5 stars. I can’t wait to find out if Vhalla will help to restore peace to the land.

I would recommend this story to anyone who loves A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Lux Series, and The Sanctorian Series.
