Your bullet journal index is an invaluable tool that you will use over and over again. If you are like me, you have lots of bullet journals (some you are currently using and some that are full and collecting dust on the shelf) full of past memories, ideas, inspiration, quotes, etc. I can’t always remember what piece of information I put into which journal. That’s where the index comes in handy. But before we get into it, don’t forget to pin me.
Setting up your bullet journal index spread is simple. Leave the first few pages of your bullet journal blank and label them INDEX.

Bullet Journal Index Spread Ideas
Project List Index
The index can be used to track your projects as well. If you have a large project you are working on and it covers multiple pages throughout your index, a project list index might be good for you.
In addition to separating out project, you can also separate out your bullet journal lists. Index by month, week, day, and year.
Design your index like you design your life. Your bullet journal is personal. It is your creative space to be who you are without fear of judgement or inability. The index is a valuable tool that, if used properly, can add organization to your life as well as clarity of mind.
If you have other index ideas or have used a different method for your bullet journal index spread, i would love to hear about it. Leave me a note in the comments below.
