Today Is My Birthday

It’s My Birthday!

Another year has come and gone. So much has happened, that I don’t know where to start.

This past year has been a year of firsts for me.

Today Is My Birthday

The Road To Authorship

Over the past year, I published The Sanctorian Series and the lead book for my second series, The Revenant City Series.

You can check out all of my books on Amazon by clicking here.

Writing seems to come naturally to me. The more I do it, the more I love it. I am currently working on three projects at the moment. My contract with Dorrance Publishing (a company I would never recommend to anyone) will expire in May of this year. I am working on a rewrite of my first novel, Forbidden.

As a novice, I made a lot of mistakes, but I have learned from them. I can’t wait to share my story with you as it is a great story to tell.

I am also working on the sequel to The Curse of Judas, the first book of the Revenant City Series (a series of short novellas).

Blogging As A Career

Over the past year, I made a decision to get serious about my blog. I would rather stay at home and work for myself doing what I love rather than waste away my years for a corporation that wouldn’t remember my name after I’m gone.

Since starting down this path, I have completely revamped

Focusing not only on my writing, but also on developing an online presence hasn’t been easy, but the journey has been well worth it.

Passion For Bullet Journaling

I love my bullet journal!

What else can I say? I love it so much that I wrote a blog series about it.

Bullet Journaling has helped me to fight off depression and to prioritize and organize my life. My bullet journal is a constant companion. It is a place where I can be myself. {Below are some pictures of my bullet journal}

I have always like to doodle, but I was never good at it. What I am good at, is looking at a picture and making it my own. If you want to see the tools I use for my bullet journal, check out my resource page.

Time In God’s Creation

Gardening has always been a passion of mine. My garden this past year turned out spectacular. I focused on adding color and height to my garden with great results.

    Family Life

This was the first year I was able to get my oldest to do sports. I attended every football game and watched him play as a part of a team. It was humbling as a parent to know that I was able to give him something that would stay with him for the rest of his life.

My youngest still hasn’t grown out of the Pokemon phase. He may never grow out of it, but that’s all right. It is good to see him passionate about reading (even if it is only about Pokemon).

If you know anything about me, you know that my boys are my life. They are my bread and butter, so to speak. The Lord blessed me with two fine young men who have made me a very proud mamma.

    Self Development Is A Choice

Over the past year, I have learned a lot about self development and have shared what I have learned here on this blog. Planning and actively working toward my goals has helped me to refocus my life and live my life by design.

I can’t change the situation, but I can change how I respond to it. Depression no longer holds me back from going to get a coffee with my friends or enjoying a family movie night in the living room.

My self development is geared toward my attitude and how I respond to the challenges ahead of me.
