Vary Writing Mediums To Spark Creativity

A writer’s worst nightmare is to see the blue screen of death on your laptop when you are in the middle of writing an epic scene.  My computer crashed today.  It took me several hours to “restore” it but it still isn’t working as well as it was.

This got me thinking about how dependent I am on my laptop. When I first started writing, I would grab a notebook, run a bath, and spend and hour or so in the tub writing down all my ideas.  (This was how I came up with the idea for The Sanctorian Series.)

Recently, I have become more dependent on one writing medium.  So, I put it away and picked up a piece of paper and started writing.  It is amazing the spark of creativity you can have just my changing the tools you use. After I did this, the ideas started flowing.  Before I knew it, I’d written more words than I was going for, exceeding my goal for the day.  Yeah for me!!!  Celebrate the small victories!

Cynthia’s first exploration took her to the world of Sanctoria, a place full of magic and mystery.  After falling in love and leading an army to war, Cynthia left Sanctoria and continued on her journey.

Currently, Cynthia resides in one of the Revenant cities on Earth.  What mysteries will the city hold and where will Cynthia end up?  Who knows?  But you can guarantee that Cynthia will tell us all about it!
